Caitlin Cleghorn

Since watching the cartoon adaptation of Anastasia (1997) and reading ‘The Royal Diaries: Anastasia, The Grand Duchess, Russia 1914’ by Carolyn Meyer as a child (the first book I ever bought!), I have been obsessed with the lost Princess and the last Romanovs. While DNA evidence proved the death of the entire Romanov family in 2007, I am still enamoured with the death of the dynasty, even more so with the women who were caught up in the revolution.

I am a Perth-born writer and editor living in Melbourne. I study Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT University, specialising in fiction writing and copy-editing. I have previously worked in English and Japanese education, construction, customer service and editing. My goals are to work in the Australian publishing industry and publish novels.
I largely write long-form fiction with elements of romance, horror, history and fantasy. Many of my projects are targeted for Young Adult (YA) audiences.
